Day 1 : COCHIN ARRIVAL AND MUNNAR STAY
After reaching Cochin airport/railway station our representative will greet you and proceed to Munnar.
Enroute visit the beautiful Cheeyapara & Valara waterfalls. Enjoy the breathtaking and glorious waterfall cascade down the seven steps. Arrive at Munnar and check in to the resort. Munnar - Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar is situated 1600 Meter above sea level. Once the summer resort of erstwhile British Government in South India and the best hill station with sprawling tea plantations in the state. Blessed with a rich variety of flora and fauna with the most well known Neelakurinji (botanical name: Strobilanthus) flowering once in 12 years. Balance of the day you are at leisure to enjoy on your own also you will be later taken to visit Tata Tea Museum & The Blossom Garden. Back to Hotel by evening and Overnight Stay at Munnar.
Day 2 : MUNNAR SIGHTSEEING AND STAY
After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing of Munnar where you can visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Tea Plantation,(closed on Monday), Eravikulam National Park (Closed during breeding season),Echo point,Photoshooting point. Munnar is also famous for Ayurveda Treatment and Massaging.Qualified physicians at the Ayurvedic treatment Centres provide a range of cures and treatments including sweat treatments, oil massages, yoga and meditation, Head, Face, Shoulder & Full Body massage at reasonable rates across Munnar. Back to Hotel and overnight stay at Munnar
Day 3 : THEKADY SIGHTSEEING AND STAY
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady. Situated within the confines of the Western Ghats in the southern Indian state of Kerala, Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the most captivating wildlife parks in the world.This perennial source of water, which initially led to the submersion of large tracts of forestland, slowly attracted wild animals. It eventually resulted in the adjoining forests being granted protection. The vegetation is of moist deciduous type. Arrive at Thekkady and check in to the hotel.You are at leisure on this day to enjoy various activities at Thekkady. Activities available are – boating on periyar lake, spice plantation visit, Elephant safari, agricultural farm tour & sightseeing, nature walk, adventure trekking & camping, border hiking, bamboo rafting, jungle jeep safari, Kalaripayattu – the traditional martial art performance & Tribal art performance(Own cost) also visit the famous Periyar wildlife sanctuary. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Day 4 : THEKADY TO RAMESWARAM VIA MADURAI
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Madurai.
Madurai:-Highly significant with its cultural and historical background, the city has tourist attractions in plenty, the most prominent among them being The Meenakshi Temple with its towering gopurams and rare sculptures. Visit Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple & City Center . After Madurai Sightseeing proceed to Rameswaram. Reach and check in to hotel and Overnight stay at Rameswaram.
Day 5 : RAMESWARAM SIGHTSEEING AND STAY
After a hearty proceed for Rameswaram sightseeing. In the Hindu mythology Rameshwaram is considered a sacred place for the Hindus. Legends have it that Lord Rama built a bridge across the sea, from Rameshwaram, to rescue his consort Sita, from the clutches of the demon king, Ravana. Rameshwaram is known as the Varanasi of south India. Visit the historic places such as, Hanumeshwaram, Agnitheertham, Dhanushkodi and Pamban Bridge. Dhanushkodi is an abandoned town at the south-eastern tip of Pamban Island of the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It is situated to the South-East of Pamban and is about 18 miles (29 km) west of Talaimannar in Sri Lanka. The town was destroyed during the 1964 Rameswaram cyclone and remains uninhabited in the aftermath! Return to Hotel by evening, enjoy the dinner and overnight stay at Rameswaram.
Day 6 : KANYAKUMARI SIGHTSEEING AND STAY
After having delightfull breakfast from Rameswaram proceed to Kanyakumari.after Arrival at Kanyakumari proceed for a sightseeing tour. Kanyakumari at the Cape Comorin - the southernmost tip in the sub-continent, the three mighty oceans viz. the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea meet. Significant landmarks include the Kumari. You will be visiting Amman Temple dedicated to the Goddess Parvati, the Gandhi Memorial where an urn containing the Mahatma's ashes are kept, the Vivekananda Memorial(own cost for boat) - built in memory of Swami Vivekananda exuding a calm and peace rarely found elsewhere and the Church of our Lady Ransom starkly etched against the beautiful shoreline. Some of the other places to visit are Wax Museum. Overnight stay at Kanyakumari after a hearty Dinner.
Day 7 : KANYAKUMARI TO KOVALAM AFTER TRIVANDRUM CITY TOUR
Morning watch georgous Sun Rise and after breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Kovalam. En route will take you for Trivandrum for local city tour. Visit Sri Padmanabhaswami Temple, Trivandrum Zoo, Kuthiramalika Palace & Museum. After the city tour we will take back to Kovalam. Explore Kovalam! Kovalam is breathtakingly beautiful and a haven of peace and tranquility, the idyllic tourist destination in Kerala. Kovalam offers an excellent diversity with Kovalam beach to suit all desires and occasions. Kovalam has three beaches, Samudra Beach, Sankumukam Beach & Lighthouse Beach, separated by rocky outcroppings in its 17 km coastline, the three together form the famous crescent of the Kovalam beach. Light House beach is the most famous among them for its calmness and any age group person can swim in there without any fear! Back to hotel and overnight stay.
Day 8 : KOVALAM TO ALLAPPEY VIA JATAYU NATURE PARK
Morning after a delicious breakfast, check out from resort and proceed to Alleppey. En route visit Jatayu Nature Park, the new born travel destination of Kerala. This park has been named after the mythical bird, Jatayu, who attempted to rescue Sita from Ravana. It is believed to be built on the exact spot where Jatayu fell post his fight with Ravana. Reach Jatayu and go to the top of Bird Sculpture, the world’s largest bird sculpture, in Cable Car . Also visit Rama Temple which is built just near to the Jatayu bird sculpture. Spend some time enjoying at the Park
Later proceed to Alleppey Allappey :-Located on the other side of the Vembanad lake, lies this beautiful town otherwise called as the Venice of The East. Coir making is a major cottage industry in the region. The sun-dried fibres are then bundled into bales and later machine twisted to make ropes. Various other products like coir mattress, coir curtains, coir doormats, etc.Arrive at Alleppey and board the houseboat at noon for a backwater cruise .While cruising in these floating luxury- villas, let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual - skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed- down paddy fields, and local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, and ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. Overnight stay in houseboat.
Day 9 : DEPART FROM COCHIN
This is the last day of your trip in God’s Own Country! After a hearty breakfast check out from the Houseboat and proceed to Cochin. Cochin in Ernakulam is also known as “Queen of Arabian Sea” is one of the finest natural harbors in the World. This was one of the major centers for commerce and trade with British, Chinese, Portuguese, and Dutch etc. Later check into hotel and go for local sightseeing of Cochin where you can visit Fort Kochi, Chinese Fishing Nets, Mattanchery, Sata Cruz Cathedral Basilica, Dutch Palace, Jew Street, Jewish Synagogue, St.Francis Church, Marine Drive.After Cochin sightseeing will drop you to at airport/railway station on time.
