Itinerary Detailes

Day 1 : ARRIVAL AT MADURAI AND STAY

On arrival at Madurai Airport/Railway Station, our representative will meet you and Greet.Late we will take you for Madurai City tour.Arrive at Madurai and check in to the hotel. Afternoon proceed for a sightseeing tour of Madurai. Madurai:- Highly significant with its cultural and historical background, the city has tourist attractions in plenty, the most prominent among them being The Meenakshi Temple with its towering gopurams and rare sculptures.  Visit Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple & City Center . Overnight stay at Madurai

Day 2 : RAMESWARAM SIGHTSEEING AND STAY

After a hearty proceed for Rameswaram sightseeing. In the Hindu mythology Rameshwaram is considered a sacred place for the Hindus. Legends have it that Lord Rama built a bridge across the sea, from Rameshwaram, to rescue his consort Sita, from the clutches of the demon king, Ravana. Rameshwaram is known as the Varanasi of south India. Visit the historic places such as, Hanumeshwaram, Agnitheertham, Dhanushkodi and Pamban Bridge. Dhanushkodi is an abandoned town at the south-eastern tip of Pamban Island of the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It is situated to the South-East of Pamban and is about 18 miles (29 km) west of Talaimannar in Sri Lanka. The town was destroyed during the 1964 Rameswaram cyclone and remains uninhabited in the aftermath! Return to Hotel by evening, enjoy the dinner and overnight stay at Rameswaram.

Day 3 : KANYAKUMARI SIGHTSEEING AND STAY

After having delightfull breakfast from Rameswaram proceed to Kanyakumari.after Arrival at Kanyakumari  proceed for a sightseeing tour. Kanyakumari at the Cape Comorin - the southernmost tip in the sub-continent, the three mighty oceans viz. the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea meet. Significant landmarks include the Kumari. You will be visiting Amman Temple dedicated to the Goddess Parvati, the Gandhi Memorial where an urn containing the Mahatma's ashes are kept, the Vivekananda Memorial(own cost for boat) - built in memory of Swami Vivekananda exuding a calm and peace rarely found elsewhere and the Church of our Lady Ransom starkly etched against the beautiful shoreline.  Some of the other places to visit are Wax Museum. Overnight  stay at Kanyakumari after a hearty Dinner.

Day 4 : VISIT POOVAR ISLAND AND KOVALAM STAY

Early morning proceed to see the most beautiful sunset in Kanyakumari and later  after having a hearty breakfast from hotel  check out and proceed to Kovalam. En route visit Poovar Island. Poovar is a small coastal, fisherman village about 60Km from Kanyakumari and 20 Km from Kovalam. This is a beautiful island which is surrounded by River called Neyyar. During heavy monsoon the river carry sand and mud and an Estuary is formed which become the present form of Poovar.  The river, which ends it flow at Arabian Sea, become wider and it appears to be a lake! Reach Poovar and enjoy boating in the beautiful Poovar Lake (own Cost). It is one the most exciting activity you can enjoy in Kerala. The boating through the Poovar river will surely lift your spirits and you will feel completely relaxed and romantic! After Poovar visit proceed to Kovalam. Check in to resort and later visit beautiful Kovalam Beach & Relax. Overnight  stay at Kovalam.

Day 5 : TRIVANDRUM CITY TOUR & KOVALAM STAY

Morning after breakfast from kovalam  proceed to Trivandrum for local city tour, which is just 15KM from Kovalam. Enroute  Explore Kovalam!   Kovalam is breathtakingly beautiful and a haven of peace and tranquility, the idyllic tourist destination in Kerala.  Kovalam offers an excellent diversity with Kovalam beach to suit all desires and occasions. Kovalam has three beaches, Samudra Beach, Sankumukam Beach & Lighthouse Beach, separated by rocky outcroppings in its 17 km coastline, Light House beach is the most famous among them for its calmness and any age group person can swim in there without any fear! Also there is option to enjoy own cost Water Sports activities in Kovalam beach like Snorkeling, Parasailing, Wind Surfing etc. later proceed to Thirivananthapuram. Thirivananthapuram:- The Capital city of Kerala which is the abode of Lord Vishnu and the Padmanabha Swamy Temple which is the richest temple in the world. Bounded by the Arabian Sea on one side and bordering the neighboring state of Tamil Nadu.  Local tour of Trivandrum includes Trivandrum Zoo, Kuthiramalika Palace & Museum. Also visit Sree Padmanabhaswami Temple, the richest Temple in the world!Overnight stay at Kovalam

Day 6 : ALLAPPEY HOUSEBOAT STAY

Check out from the resort and drive to Alleppey. Allappey :-Located on the other side of the Vembanad lake, lies this beautiful town otherwise called as the Venice of The East.  Coir making is a major cottage industry in the region.  The sun-dried fibres are then bundled into bales and later machine twisted to make ropes. Various other products like coir mattress, coir curtains, coir doormats, etc..Arrive at Alleppey and board the houseboat at noon for a backwater cruise .While cruising in these floating luxury- villas, let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual - skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed- down paddy fields, and local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, and ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. Overnight stay in houseboat.

Day 7 : MUNNAR SIGHTSEEING AND STAY

Check out from Houseboat around 9AM after breakfast and proceed to Munnar. Munnar is lovely hill station in the southwestern state of Kerala, India. Munnar is situated around 1600 m above sea level in the Western Ghats range of mountains. Munnar provides a pleasant experience with cool weather throughout the year! On the way to Munnar you will be stopped to enjoy the white spray of water from the beautiful waterfalls of Cheeyappara & Valara. Also you will be stopped at Karadippara view point. Reach and check in to hotel, relax for a while and later visit Tata Tea Museum & The Blossom Garden. Back to Hotel by evening and Overnight Stay at Munnar.

Day 8 : MUNNAR SIGHTSEEING AND STAY

Start your pleasant day at Munnar with a delicious breakfast and you will be taken for sightseeing. The sightseeing includes places like Iravikulam National park, the Blesson Garden, Echo point,Kundala dam, Mattupetty dam, Photo shooting point. Munnar is also famous for Ayurveda Treatment and Massaging. Munnar with its cool climate all year round provides the ideal backdrop for this rejuvenation and healing therapy. Day 9 : THEKADY SIGHTSEEING AND STAY

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady. Situated within the confines of the Western Ghats in the southern Indian state of Kerala, Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the most captivating wildlife parks in the world.This perennial source of water, which initially led to the submersion of large tracts of forestland, slowly attracted wild animals. It eventually resulted in the adjoining forests being granted protection. The vegetation is of moist deciduous type. Arrive at Thekkady and check in to the hotel.You are at leisure on this day to enjoy various activities at Thekkady. Activities available are – boating on periyar lake, spice plantation visit, Elephant safari, agricultural farm tour & sightseeing, nature walk, adventure trekking & camping, border hiking, bamboo rafting, jungle jeep safari, Kalaripayattu – the traditional martial art performance & Tribal art performance(Own cost) also visit the famous Periyar wildlife sanctuary. Overnight stay at Thekkady.

Day 10 : DEPART FROM MADURAI

Check out from the hotel after a hearty breakfast and proceed to Madurai. Reach and drop at railway station/airport on time. Board your flight/train back home with sweet memories of your holidays in Kerala & Tamilnadu. Tour Ends!
