Day 1 : ARRIVAL AT COCHIN & STAY
On arrival at Cochin airport after you have cleared your immigration and customs formalities, our representative will meet you and will transfer you to Cochin hotel & visit Cochin for the day.Cochin is the colonial name of Kochi, India, a major port city by the Arabian Sea on the southern part of India’s west coast. Kochi has been important spice trading center on the west coast of India, connecting the mainland to the rest of the world and known as the “Queen of the Arabian Sea.” Visit Fort Kochi, Chinese Fishing Nets, Mattanchery, Sata Cruz Cathedral Basilica, Dutch Palace, Jew Street, Jewish Synagogue, St.Francis Church, Marine Drive. Day 2 : COCHIN TO MUNNAR VIA ATHIRAMPILLY WATERFALLS AND STAY
After having delightfull breakfast from Cochin hotel check out and proceed to Munnar.En route to Munnar Visit Athirappilly Waterfalls.
Athirappilly Falls, is situated in Athirappilly Panchayat in Chalakudy Taluk of Thrissur District in Kerala, India on the Chalakudy River, which originates from the upper reaches of the Western Ghats at the entrance to the Sholayar ranges. It is the largest waterfall in Kerala, which stands tall at 80 feet. After then proceed to Munnar
Munnar - Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar is situated 1600 Meter above sea level. Once the summer resort of erstwhile British Government in South India and the best hill station with sprawling tea plantations in the state. Blessed with a rich variety of flora and fauna with the most well known Neelakurinji flowering once in 12 yearsOn the way to Munnar you will be stopped to enjoy the white spray of water from the beautiful waterfalls of Cheeyappara & Valara. Day 3 : MUNNAR SIGHTSEEING AND STAY
After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing of Munnar where you can visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Tea Plantation,(closed on Monday), Eravikulam National Park (Closed during breeding season),Echo point,Photoshooting point. Munnar is also famous for Ayurveda Treatment and Massaging.Qualified physicians at the Ayurvedic treatment Centres provide a range of cures and treatments including sweat treatments, oil massages, yoga and meditation, Head, Face, Shoulder & Full Body massage at reasonable rates across Munnar. Back to Hotel and overnight stay at Munnar
Day 4 : THEKADY SIGHTSEEING & STAY
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady. Situated within the confines of the Western Ghats in the southern Indian state of Kerala, Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the most captivating wildlife parks in the world.This perennial source of water, which initially led to the submersion of large tracts of forestland, slowly attracted wild animals. It eventually resulted in the adjoining forests being granted protection. The vegetation is of moist deciduous type. Arrive at Thekkady and check in to the hotel.You are at leisure on this day to enjoy various activities at Thekkady. Activities available are – boating on periyar lake, spice plantation visit, Elephant safari, agricultural farm tour & sightseeing, nature walk, adventure trekking & camping, border hiking, bamboo rafting, jungle jeep safari, Kalaripayattu – the traditional martial art performance & Tribal art performance(Own cost) also visit the famous Periyar wildlife sanctuary. Day 5 : ALLAPPEY HOUSEBOAT STAY
Check out from the resort and drive to Alleppey. Allappey :-Located on the other side of the Vembanad lake, lies this beautiful town otherwise called as the Venice of The East. Coir making is a major cottage industry in the region. The sun-dried fibres are then bundled into bales and later machine twisted to make ropes. Various other products like coir mattress, coir curtains, coir doormats, etc..
Arrive at Alleppey and board the houseboat at noon for a backwater cruise .While cruising in these floating luxury- villas, let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual - skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed- down paddy fields, and local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, and ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. Overnight stay in houseboat.
Day 6 : KANYAKUMARI SIGHTSEEING AND STAY
Check out from the Houseboat after breakfast around 9AM and proceed to Kanyakumari. Kanyakumari at the Cape Comorin - the southernmost tip in the sub-continent, the three mighty oceans viz. the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea meet. Significant landmarks include the Kumari.
You will be visiting Amman Temple dedicated to the Goddess Parvati, the Gandhi Memorial where an urn containing the Mahatma's ashes are kept, the Vivekananda Memorial(own cost for boat) - built in memory of Swami Vivekananda exuding a calm and peace rarely found elsewhere and the Church of our Lady Ransom starkly etched against the beautiful shoreline. Day 7 : TRIVANDUM SIGHTSEEING & KOVALAM STAY
Watch the gorgeous Sun rise in the morning and after a hearty breakfast check out from Hotel and proceed to Kovalam. En route do local sightseeing of Trivandrum. Thiruvananthapuram, commonly known by its former name Trivandrum, is the capital of the Indian state of Kerala. It is the most populous city in Kerala, located on the west coast of India near the extreme south of the mainland. Thiruvananthapuram referred to by Mahatma Gandhi as the "Evergreen city of India". Local tour of Trivandrum includes Sri Padmanabhaswami Temple, Trivandrum Zoo, Kuthiramalika Palace & Museum. Evening proceed to Kovalam.
After exploringTrivandrum city ! proceed to kovalam .Kovalam is breathtakingly beautiful beach and a haven of peace and tranquility, the idyllic tourist destination in Kerala. Kovalam offers an excellent diversity with Kovalam beach to suit all desires and occasions. Kovalam has three beaches, Samudra Beach, Sankumukam Beach & Lighthouse Beach, separated by rocky outcroppings in its 17 km coastline, the three together form the famous crescent of the Kovalam beach. Light House beach is the most famous among them for its calmness and any age group person can swim in there without any fear! You can do Water Sports activities like Scuba Diving, Snorkelling, Parasailing, Wind Surfing, Kayaking at Kovalam (own Cost). Day 8 : DEPART FROM TRIVANDRUM
