Itinerary Detailes
Day 1 : ARRIVAL AT COCHIN AND PROCEED TO ALLAPPEY AND STAY
On arrival to Cochin Railway / Airport our representative will greet you and pick you up & proceed for Cochin sightseeing.
Cochin- A historic town brimming with tales of Portuguese, Dutch and British settlements. Located just 10 kms from Kochi. There are historical monuments, which a walk through the streets can give a glimpse of the area. The nostalgic feeling one gets when cycling or talking a brisk walk through the colonial type architecture gives one a feeling of how this small fishing village became the major attraction of these colonial countries.
Some of the places to Visit are Fort Kochi, Chinese Fishing Nets, Mattanchery, Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, Dutch Palace, Jew Street, Jewish Synagogue, St.Francis Church, Marine Drive.
After the sightseeing proceed to Alleppey, Check in to hotel & relax for the night.
Day 2 : ALLAPPEY SIGHTSEEING AND STAY
Morning Have the delicious breakfast from Allappey Hotel and later we will take you for Alleppey sightseeing.
Alleppey, the Venice of the east. Alleppey is Kerala’s major hub for houseboats. The ideal way to explore Alleppey, the land of placid lagoons and intricate canals is in a houseboat. Alleppey town is located on the Laccadive Sea in the southern Indian state of Kerala. Alappuzha Beach is another major attraction with a 19th-century lighthouse. Other key features of Alleppey is the world renowned annual snake boat race and the stunning architecture of Mullakkal Temple. The places to Visit are Alleppey Beach, Town, Coir factory etc. Back to hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Alleppey Hotel
Day 3 : ALLAPPEY HOUSEBOAT STAY
Morning check out from resort around 11AM and proceed to Allappey houseboat.. Arrive at Alleppey and board the houseboat at noon for a backwater cruise and for an overnight stay. While cruising in these floating luxury-villas, let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual - skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed-down paddy fields, and local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, and ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. Day 4 : KUMARAKOM SIGHTSEEING AND COCHIN DROP
In the morning after breakfast from Allappey houseboat ,desbark and proceed to Kumarakom.
Kumarakom- is a tiny backwater hamlet perched on the western banks of the Vembanadu Lake. Balance of the day you are at leisure to enjoy the backwater paradise at its best. Enjoy a visit to the nearby Kumarakom bird sanctuary; an ornithologist's paradise is a favorite haunt of migratory birds like the Siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal.The Bay Island Driftwood Museum displays wooden sculptures. In the lake, Pathiramanal Island is a heaven for rare migratory birds. After sightseeing we will drop you at Cochin Airport. Tour ends with sweet memories spent in Kerala.
